TMTEF Collegiate Chapter of the Year
Each year, TMTA recognizes an outstanding student chapter, its advisor, and members, for showing an exceptional level and depth of activities. The selected chapter received $250 and will be recognized at the annual TMTA Conference. The winner of the award will also be nominated by the TMTA President for the MTNA Collegiate Chapter of the Year award.
Applications will be reviewed by the College Student Chapters Chair, the College Faculty Forum Chair, and the TMTA Collegiate Director who will then send a list of nominees for consideration to the TMTA President. The President will choose the winning chapter.
Collegiate Chapters should include materials and documentation for all activities; those that have already occurred, and those planned for the remainder of the current academic year. You may submit any number of activity descriptions.
As you list your activities, please consider the following award criteria:
- Student membership involvement: Did/will the majority of members participate?
- Contribution to the benefit or growth of the chapter: How did/will the activities build chapter membership and participation.
- Contribution to and involvement with other musical organizations and the general community: How did/will chapter activities benefit your school, other organizations, and/or the community?
- Creativity: Are activities a result of new concepts or lessons learned from past attempts?
- Attainment of goals: How did/will activities meet educational, membership, fundraising, outreach, or other goals for the chapter, community, or campus?
